\u201cQuesta volta, grazie alle modifiche alla legge elettorale e alla Costituzione, le elezioni sono state regolari. I cittadini ucraini hanno, anzi, dato un esempio di senso civico e di correttezza. Nonostante fosse il terzo voto in due mesi, nonostante la stagione sfavorevole e le nuove leggi che consentono il voto a domicilio solo ai portatori di disabilit\u00e0 gravi, l’affluenza alle urne \u00e8 stata molto alta.<\/p>\n
Cosa ancora pi\u00f9 importante, le manifestazioni di entrambe le parti sono state totalmente pacifiche e senza il pi\u00f9 piccolo incidente anche quando le opposte fazioni sono venute a contatto. Certi gruppi nostrani avrebbero molto da imparare dagli ucraini che hanno la democrazia da appena tredici anni.<\/p>\n
Spesso venivano a votare famiglie al completo e facevano infilare la scheda nell’urna dai bambini. Una volta ho visto che sussurravano qualcosa al bambino e ho chiesto cosa gli avessero detto. Mi hanno risposto: <<Gli abbiamo detto che questa \u00e8 la democrazia: scegliamo noi chi deve governare>>.
