Quando, mesi fa, prospettai questa ipotesi, pensai subito ai cittadini di religione ebraica ma constatai che per loro non ci sarebbe stato alcuna differenza rispetto al passato. Infatti, possono andare a votare dopo il tramonto di sabato e nella giornata di domenica. Avranno addirittura pi\u00f9 tempo di quando si votava solo la domenica.<\/p>\n
Ho anche pensato al problema di coloro che fanno parte del seggio, presidente e scrutatori. Anche qui non cambia nulla, perch\u00e9 gi\u00e0 prima dovevano iniziare il lavoro preparatorio il sabato e pertanto l’impegno era incompatibile con l’osservanza dello shabbat.<\/p>\n
La senatrice dice di non capire perch\u00e9 non si vota la domenica e il luned\u00ec. La ragione \u00e8 molto semplice: la norma europea non consente di votare dopo la domenica sera, e concentrare tutto il voto nella sola domenica avrebbe comportato problemi di sovraffollamento come quelli che si verificarono nel 1999 quando l’election day<\/em> lo fece l’Ulivo. Spero nella buona fede della collega De Petris e che la sua uscita non sia strumentale. Le ricordo tuttavia che il suo compagno di schieramento Scalfaro nel 1994 fiss\u00f2 le elezioni durante la Pasqua ebraica e, pur prolungando il voto fino al luned\u00ec sera, gli ebrei osservanti ebbero solo pochissime ore su due giorni per votare. Non mi risulta che Scalfaro abbia violato la legge 101\/89.
